Baptism is an exciting way for Christ-followers to publicly testify of their faith in Christ for the forgiveness of their sin. It's a way for us to speak with our bodies, and not only our mouths, about the powerful change that Christ has worked in us. It also serves as a memorial. Baptism reminds us that God brought us out of a life of sin and darkness, and into new life in His kingdom. And as important as it is for us as individuals to share our faith through baptism, it's also vital for the church community to hear testimonies of other Christ-followers; to hear that the Spirit is at work drawing more people to Himself.
