I cherish the Word of God; my best friend and husband, Dave; My extended family: son, Wes and wife Caren; son, Steve and wife Denise; our “grandies” – Lilly, Owen and Emmett.
Remembering God’s overwhelming and unconditional love for me; Friends who are hurting; the end of the movie “The Fox and the Hound”.
Dave has such a wonderful and consistent sense of humor. He always has something to say that makes me laugh! I laugh when I see toddlers trying to walk. Each time our grandchildren learned to do raspberries!
Drivers who don’t know how to merge; that the line always stops when I’m in it! Customer service people who are more interested in their own lives than waiting on me.
Dave’s surrender to the Lord’s will; when our granddaughter Lilly prays; a beautiful sunrise or sunset (preferably oceanside)
Worship, Teaching and Encouragement.
When I get to heaven I’m going to ask God why he created stick bugs. They give me that allover creepy feeling.
I would love to own and operate a Bakery and Christian Reading Room Oceanside (doesn’t matter which ocean). Already have the name: Loaves and Fisher. Would love to combine that with our desire to serve the Lord in missions when we retire.
When I was a little girl of about 6, a Good News Club was held every Wednesday afternoon at a neighbor’s home. (I remember Mrs. Schwenk crying every time she prayed. That really impressed my little mind!) My mother shared with me, when I was older, that one day after Good News Club I came home very upset after hearing that Jesus died for me . I think that is when my journey with Jesus began! Throughout my teenage years and early adulthood, I remember making re-commitments many times. It was when I was 27 that an evangelist came to our church and explained that it isn’t enough to have Jesus as Savior but that He needs to be Lord of your life. I surrendered that evening and it’s never been the same since!!! My life verse is Phillipians 1:6 – “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” May it be so.
